Under the Arctic Research Support & Logistics Services (ARSLS) Program, the Battelle Arctic Research Operations (ARO) Team gathers, investigates, analyzes, and reports on near miss/good catches and incidents related to Health, Safety, & Environment (HSE). Per the terms of the contract for the overarching ARSLS Program, this data is updated daily and made publicly available to the polar community. The intent is to share the details of near miss/good catches, incidents, lessons learned, and trends in hopes that the experience gained through supporting science in the Arctic can provide awareness that helps prevent more serious incidents,  improve understanding of risk, save time, money and resources, and promote health and safety across the polar community.
